There’s something about surf music that’s so badass, it just makes you want to walk around squinting your eyes, smoking a cigarette in slow motion. Instrumental surf bands like the Pyronauts are the most underrated acts out there. That’s why John Travolta looked so tight in Pulp Fiction, because, I tell you, it wasn’t that shitty little ponytail. There are two things that make surf music even more badass, and that’s fireworks and booze. Throw Pyronauts into the mix, and you’ve got yourself an arse-kicking pre-Independence Day celebration.
