According to his bio, Billy Martini played the drums for a decade before he had enough of their temperamental nature. He quickly learned to step into the role of frontman and decided to create his flamboyant ’70s tribute project, the Billy Martini Show. Based out of Santa Cruz, Calif., the band’s sound is self-described as having “driving beats, lyrical hooks, and bone crushing guitar riffs.” And unlike many of his peers who play similar-sounding material, but only covers, these guys actually play original material.
