I’m proud of you, Sacto. It was a mere seven months ago that, on the Metro in Washington, D.C., I read a feature story on a new trend in dance music, Moombahton, which was born out of the nation’s capital. And now it’s already here—and damn quick, considering 916 time—thanks to ubiquitous DJ Shaun Slaughter (now performing as “D.A.M.B.”), whose been pushing the tropical sound with the determination of a tweaker hustling a Safeway cart down 19th Street. This is the second incarnation of ¡Ay Tan Sucia!, which will feature Moombahton’s trademark chopped house meets hip-hop and cumbia/dancehall groove.
