Here Comes the Kid is Arlo Guthrie's new solo tour celebrating the contributions of his father, Woody Guthrie. The younger Guthrie has certainly followed in his father's footsteps as a storyteller, singer-songwriter and social commentator. He created his own label, Rising Son Records, in the early 1980s; performed with 27 different symphony orchestras; and received the 2009 ASCAP Foundation Champion Award for his humanitarian efforts. He's also the 39th recipient of The Peace Abbey Courage of Conscience Award. And he established the Guthrie Foundation and the Guthrie Center at the Old Trinity Church, where Alice of “Alice's Restaurant Massacree” lived. 9399 Old Davis Road in Davis, www.arlo.net.
