Free burritos and Willie Nelson

One does not need to dress up as a giant, foil-wrapped walking burrito to get a burrito for free this winter at the “gourmet” fast-food chain formally known as Chipotle Mexican Grill. One will, however, need to order an entree with the seasoned tofu called Sofritas on Monday, January 26, and come back with the receipt for a free burrito, bowl or taco—Sofritas included or not—but only from Tuesday, January 27, through Saturday, February 28. So, it's not really getting a meal for free, but two meals at half price. Not a bad deal, but a better deal is if one wears an anti-factory-farming T-shirt with a piggy on it and takes a Willie Nelson lookalike singing Coldplay's “The Scientist” into Chipotle—because then, the burrito just might be on me. That's been earned.
