Foodies afoot

Want to schmooze with other foodies, hang out with influential chefs and get a behind-the-scenes looks at three of Midtown's most popular restaurants? It's all included in Saturday afternoon's Midtown Foodie Grub and Pub Crawl, which organizers bill as an “interactive food and drinks tour.” A $60 ticket might seem steep, but it does include food tasting at Capital Dime, Hot Italian and Kupros Craft House—plus a portion of proceeds will benefit a local Active 20-30 club, a nonprofit youth-service organization. Each restaurant will show off a signature dish and drink, and there's a raffle (bring cash if you want to participate) as well as discounted drinks at each spot. The event is sponsored by the local food news site Cowtown Eats (www.cowtowneats.com). It starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Capital Dime, 1801 L Street.
