Flowers and bones

As of late fall last year, where a flower boutique once occupied a storefront in Midtown on J Street, the Maiya Gallery set up shop. For May, it presents Relics—Magical & Mysterious, a group show with Mary Czechan Coldren, Dwight Head, Richard Ratcliff and Michael Rosner. The works included by Rosner will be part of a larger series of work where, influenced by some of Plato’s concepts, he is known to paint on both animate and inanimate objects, including people, leaves and bones.
