If you have an excess of motivation, this is the strain for you.

We are officially living in the age of brand-name marijuana. Pot legends like Snoop Dogg, Tommy Chong and SN&R’s own Ngaio Bealum all lend their names to boutique strains. Rapper Ghostface Killah makes vape cartridges and rocker Melissa Etheridge produces wine tinctures. Dispensaries are labeling their own house brand strains and growers and distributors are racing to put a face to their foothold in the market.

Baller Billy Seeds has jumped on the branding trend and their logo featuring a red-bearded pot farmer wearing overalls and sneakers certainly captures the eye. But even more captivating is the quality of the Baller Billy product, including an already legendary strain of XXX OG, a bruising indica that provides powerful relief for sleeplessness, pain and nausea.

XXX OG buds are pea soup green and coated in white crystal trichomes with a restrained aroma that mixes dry grass, floral tea and a little citrus. The flavor hits most of those same notes — grassy, earthy, floral, without a hint of harshness on the back end. Subsequent tokes reinforce the first impression and a pleasant flavor lingers gently in between inhales.

If you have an excess of motivation, this is the strain for you. Don’t operate any motor vehicles or calculate any advanced mathematical equations while smoking this sucker. After only a few tokes, my eyelids got heavy and my limbs followed suit, while my mind grew foggy and “Parks and Recreation” re-runs on Netflix started calling out to me like sirens on a rocky beach.
