Flames, wreckage and more
For you fans of “alternative rock,” the Orange County band Lit will be coming north to road-test new songs from its forthcoming RCA album on Wednesday, November 19, at The Boardwalk, 9426 Greenback Lane in Orangevale. The show starts at 8:30 p.m., with tickets for $14 in advance and $15 the day of the show. And for something a little different, on Sunday, November 16, actor and musician Neil Michael Hagerty, formerly of Chicago dissipated-rock combo Royal Trux, will headline at Old Ironsides, 1901 10th Street, with Sacto’s own Forever Goldrush in the middle and Stockton band Gary Young’s Hospital opening. “I think we may be creating the next genre of indie rock,” Young enthused recently, before adding, “Of course, I may be jerking myself off here.” Showtime’s 7:30 p.m.; admission’s $8.
