Flamenco diva in Davis

Carolina Lugo made her dance debut at the age of 14 with the famous Lola Montes and she’s been moving to the syncopated rhythm of her castanets ever since. Now she’s bringing her own flamenco dance company, “Brisas de Espana,” to Davis this Friday and Saturday for two performances of fiery and passionate Spanish dance. Swirling dresses and shawls, syncopated hand clapping, intoxicating guitars and sharp castanet staccatos will immerse you in the heat and excitement of Spanish culture—and you don’t even have to leave the country!
