Far from one

Jonah Matranga was a pretty consistent presence on the local music scene through much of the 1990s with his band Far. After that band splintered in 1998, guitarist Shaun Lopez started the Revolution Smile, bassist John Gutenberger switched to guitar and joined with drummer Chris Robyn to form Milwaukee, and Matranga moved to the Bay Area and funneled his considerable creative drive into onelinedrawing, which has been busy playing across North America since late May. This incarnation of onelinedrawing touches down at Orangevale venue The Boardwalk on Tuesday, July 29, with Kevin Seconds, Lessick and Acceptance opening. Showtime’s 9 p.m., tickets are $10, and the address is 9426 Greenback Lane.
