Fancy (vegan) pants

Put on your fancy non-wool pants, cruelty-free freaks: We’re going to Millennium Restaurant (580 Geary Street in San Francisco). This gourmet vegan eatery doesn’t actually have a dress code, but its seasonal, creative entrees are priced in the mid-20s, and unlike stereotypical pricey restaurants, the portions are substantial. A delectable menu mainstay worth trying is the Black Bean Torte. Other dishes were impressively ambitious, but at times combined too many flavors. Even so, it’s a delicious destination for a vegan field trip. Millennium also offers tasting menus, including The Frugal Foodie Menu, which comprises an appetizer, entree and dessert for $39.
