It’s nice to know that the members of Axis Gallery were each able to elect an artist to show in the gallery this month. However, as of press time, SN&R has not been able to determine whether any of the artists were picked under the influence of the Russian government.
Anyway, expect to see a wide range of styles. Axis member Dixie Laws chose a sculpture by Northern California multimedia artist Joanna Kidd, and Janice Nakashima picked Bay Area sculptor Douglas Holmes. As of press time, SN&R has not been able to determine whether any of the artworks are of a shirtless Vladimir Putin riding a horse.
Support not just the local art community but the local economy by buying art made by Sacramento artists in this 11-venue showcase, Big Show of Small Treasures 2016.
