Eye of the Beholder

This odd echo of elements of The Conversation, Chinatown, Vertigo and Basic Instinct offers some arresting, elegant images, but the motivation of a surveillance expert (Ewan MacGregor) in “protecting” a serial killer (Ashley Judd) remains awfully opaque, as does the killer herself, as does the story.
