Every Christmas Story Ever Told
Capital Stage revives last year’s very silly, very popular seasonal farce, with the same professional cast (Anthony D’Juan, Gary S. Martinez, Eric Wheeler) and the same director (Greg Alexander). Remarking on last year’s production, Jeff Hudson wrote: “Three actors weary of staging the same old Scrooge attempt a demolition derby summary of every holiday book, play and movie in existence (and The Nutcracker, too). This irreverent revue features lots of bad wigs and guys in drag. The antics include fast, physical comedy and rapid-fire jokes, incorporating a few volunteers dragged out of the audience. It’s very much in the manner of The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (which trashed the Bard’s canon) and The Big Bang (which did the same with the History of Western Civilization).”
