Escape From Happiness

KOLT Run Creations puts the “fun” in dysfunctional in George F. Walker’s Escape From Happiness, an extremely dark political comedy about a failing family in a failing neighborhood whose lives are complicated by the additional stress of rising crime and a corrupt and brutal police department. The women rule, with Martha Omiyo Kight, Jessicah Neufeld, Kelley Ogden and Kellie Yvonne Raines turning in stellar performances as a mother and her three daughters. Of course, it helps that they have some pretty damn good male actors to work with, all under the direction of Lisa Thew. F, Sa 8pm; Su 2pm. Through 12/19. $12-$15.
