Enough is enough is enough
Stop with the violence already! Let’s remember what they teach 3-year-olds in day care: “Don’t hit. Use your words.” A good place to practice this skill is at Tuesday’s “Break the Silence on Domestic Violence Day” rally at 5 p.m. on the West Steps of the Capitol. I know that rallies can be dry as stale RyKrisp, but this one should be fun. Luckbucket will play music, domestic violence survivors will tell tales of bravery and everyone will march to Raley Field to see the River Cats play the Memphis Redbirds. As added incentive, Secretary of State Bill Jones will throw the first pitch. The rally is free. Game tickets are $10-$25 including a “Break the Silence” T-shirt. Call WEAVE at 319-4908 for info.
