Enemy at the Gates

Jude Law stars as Vassili Zaitzev, the Soviet sniper who became a World War II hero. As Zaitzev’s kills increase, the Nazis get nervous enough to send in their own highly decorated sniper, Major Konig (Ed Harris); thus is set the stage for a supreme battle of strategy. Even in war-ravaged Stalingrad, there’s still time for love, and Tania (Rachel Weisz) proves a match for Zaitzev. Director Jean-Jacques Annaud has fashioned quite a suspenseful and brutal film.
