Any house deejay worth their weight in gold knows that the line separating future-funk dance jams and ’80s nostalgia is a thin one at best. Up-and-coming French house deejay Zimmer wears this credo on his sleeve. There’ll be times you’ll ask yourself if you’re listening to the closing credits of Beverly Hills Cop or if it’s some spacey sci-fi track from a euphoric alien world of empaths.
