Eight Gigs: Tyson Graf Trio

You may remember Tyson Graf from his instrumental rock band Modifyde back in the early 2000s. More likely, you've seen his name month after month on Shady Lady Saloon's jazz calendar. So why pay $5 to see him at the Fox & Goose? We expect the Berklee College of Music grad's trio to let loose and get even funkier. Expect long, raw improvisations with an experimental rock twist, all based on sweet grooves. On guitar, Graf melds jazz with progressive-rock—intense riffs, surprising chord changes, the occasional detection of blues roots—and he does so with speed.
