Eight Gigs: Trigger Hippy

Hometown hero Jackie Greene returns as a member of Nashville supergroup Trigger Hippy, which aside from having a clever name, is pretty darn impressive. The five-piece was founded by drummer Steve Gorman, who is one of the founding members of the Black Crowes and used to play with Jimmy Page back in the day. If your dad grew up in the '70s listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Band or the Allman Brothers, he'll for sure dig this supergroup—as will fans of more contemporary bands like the Mother Hips and Blitzen Trapper. 1417 R Street, http://triggerhippy.net.
