Eight Gigs: Tim Heidecker

Tim Heidecker puts an amusing spin on everyday domestic issues in his newly released album In Glendale. Backed by his 10-piece band, Heidecker sings about relatable everyday experiences, like cleaning up dog shit, calling in sick to work and the allure of central air. Existential woes that befall most middle-aged people are also covered, like not wanting to wake up dead. Nevertheless, even though these tunes don’t come anywhere near the weirdness of some of his other comedy (such as Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!), the simple rock beats and catchy lyrics are a fun listen. 2708 J Street, www.timheidecker.com.
