Eight Gigs: The von Trapps

Yes, this band is the von Trapps, like the family from The Sound of Music. Only these four von Trapps are the great grandchildren of the Captain and Maria von Trapp. For the past 12 years, these 20-somethings have been carrying on the tradition of touring the world and singing Austrian folk songs, symphonies and their own global-influenced, multilingual pop sound. Now Portland residents, the von Trapps most recently released a collaboration with fellow Portland-based, international pop heroes Pink Martini.
