Eight Gigs: The Rippers

Before making that all-too-familiar departure to San Francisco, local musician Julian Elorduy released Boy’s Co. under the moniker Fine Steps. It deserves a cherished home in Sacramento rock history for embodying a familiar sentiment of the native sons and daughters who leave and are left behind. Elorduy low-key returned home, got married, had a child and also formed the Rippers. Still demoing, the Rippers are imbued with Elorduy’s debonair songwriting and are chock-full of sun-soaked rhythm and blues.
