If the first thing the Mr. T Experience (MTX for short) reminds you of is Green Day, that’s because they came up at the same time and in the same place. But as fate would have it, Frank Portman and his band, which now features three Sacramento members, would never find success the same way Billie Joe Armstrong and his crew would. Isn’t it more punk rock, though, to not end up a millionaire who eventually writes crap ballads like “21 Guns”?
