Eight Gigs: The Color Wild
Wed., Jan. 10, Harlow’s Restaurant & Nightclub, 8 p.m., $8-$10
Vacaville-based indie-pop quartet the Color Wild has been paying attention. Its brand of high-energy pop, tinged with post-post-post-punk sensibilities, fits right in with top 40 bands like Neon Trees and Walk the Moon, and what with their DayGlo, just-shaggy-haired-enough aesthetic, its bouncing, synth-heavy tunes are bound to strike a chord with fans of the aforementioned bands. The band has only released a handful of songs so far, but its hinted at dropping some new tracks at this particular show on social media. Trophii and NYTVZN are also on the bill. 2708 J Street, www.thecolorwild.com.
