Eight: Gigs: Sister Crayon
Thu., April 14, 7 p.m., Harlow’s Restaurant & Nightclub, $30-$35
No offense to Built To Spill—it’s a perfectly excellent ’90s indie-rock band and whatnot—but I’m guessing many people heading to this show are more stoked to see Sister Crayon. The Sacramento-born duo of Terra Lopez and Dani Fernandez show serious hometown love whenever they return, and it’s been several long months since that’s last happened. We’ve missed Sister Crayon’s pulsing energy, moody electronica and powerful, soulful vocals. It’s always a fiery, passionate and brilliant live show—there’s a reason fans insist on seeing them again and again. You will headbang, and you will dig it. 2708 J Street, www.facebook.com/sistercrayon.
