The votes are in. SN&R hosts the 23rd annual Sammies award ceremony and multi-music-genre concert, bursting with local pride and sound once again at Ace of Spades. Sixteen months in the making, after the Sammies awards season was moved from the fall to early spring, the 2015 party, put together by local music bon vivant Jerry Perry, will be chock full of live performances by Sammies nominees including Massive Delicious, Joseph In the Well (pictured), Chris Gardner Band, Element Brass Band, James Cavern and Shoujo Kitten. There will also be a collective tip of the cap to Musical Charis (also performing) for their induction into the Sammies Hall of Fame. 1417 R Street, www.sammies.com.
