Photos of this Southern California quartet suggest four guys deep in thought, and possibly aching with heartbreak. The group’s music couldn’t be any more different. These hyper garage-fueled, mega-pop jams bounce around in your head with just the right amount of goofiness to force a smile on your face after a long, harsh day of being bored to death. The energy is intense, but the music is almost totally devoid of any aggression. The group sounds like a stack of ’60s radio pop singles, but played slightly too fast.
