There’s a McDonald’s-themed Black Sabbath band, a pizza-themed Velvet Underground band and an all-bluegrass AC/DC tribute band. All these wacky groups pale in comparison to the one and only Okilly Dokilly: a metal band featuring five Ned Flanders. They call their genre “Nedal,” but really it’s brutal groove-based metal licks created by five obvious life-long metal fanatics who also happen to be into dorky sweaters and mustaches. Unlike most of the weirdo-themed bands out now, Okilly Dokilly doesn’t rely on covers.
