Mexico’s storied Latin supergroup comes to Sacramento on Wednesday night to play downtown’s spanking new Golden 1 Center. Maná is the U2 of Spanish rock, with more than 40 million albums sold worldwide. Originally formed 30 years ago by frontman Jose Fernando Emilio “Fher” Olvera, the group found commercial success in 1992 with its sophomore album, ¿Donde Jugaran los Ninos? Mixing elements of reggae, calypso and ska with its approachable Latin pop-rock, Maná continues to fill arenas as it moves into its fourth decade.
