Eight Gigs: Lights and Sirens

An amalgam of alternative rock, pop and post-hardcore, Lights and Sirens prove to be a new force in local music. Brittany Vanessa’s vocal tenacity adjusts smoothly between hard-hitting percussion and driving rhythm guitar work. The track “Cake,” featured on its self-titled demo out this weekend, balances melodic lead guitar layers with Vanessa’s higher vocal range and lyrics that pierce the heart.
