Eight Gigs: Khemmis

In case you couldn't tell by the old wizard, the skeletons and the warrior on the cover of its album Absolution, Khemmis is a doom band with a lot of interest in preserving the olden ways paved by Sabbath before them. Of course, that comparison neglects the complexity of the band's full sound, which calls to mind more recent doom lords such as Pallbearer, particularly with its primarily clean vocals and dual-guitar riffs.
