Some things are just extra awesome in the heat of summer: outdoor festivals, beer, dancing and funky party music, to name a few. Joy and Madness deliver on that last one big time. The nine-piece Sacramento powerhouse brings infectious energy to the stage; nobody can resist the call of raucous horns, bouncy bass and groovy, soul-inspired vocals. Even the most rhythmically challenged person in the crowd won’t be able to stop their head from nodding, jutting and bopping. Funk just makes everyone feel temporarily cool, and Joy and Madness heartily encourage all to dance the night away with joyful, mad abandon.
