Eight Gigs: Jonny Lang

Harsh winters come to mind when one thinks of Fargo, South Dakota. It's got to be a tough place to keep your hands warm enough to play the guitar—unless you're Jonny Lang. The fair-skinned, 40-year-old blues guitarist who hails from the cold city has been blowing away national audiences for more than 20 years with his gritty singing style and searing solos on his Fender Telecaster. Lang has been a regular at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival and the Experience Hendrix tours, but those brief high-energy appearances pale in comparison to seeing his full live set.
