Horror Vacui is an Italian death rock band blazing a path of darkness through the West Coast. They rock the most purely goth sound since the genre’s inception. This band seriously sounds like it came from the past, in a good way. The dreamy guitar riffs and thick bass drones are heavily inspired by the likes of Bauhaus, but the band doesn’t rest in the past. You can hear dark wave dissonance dripping from every note, and the group clearly has both feet firmly planted in punk rock.
