Eight Gigs: Hautahuah

Although Hautahuah was busy recording at press time (it's a new project), let it be known that anything involving the multi-talented Carson McWhirter, along with Brian Kincaid (bass) and Gabe Katz (drums) in tow, is going to be good. Besides playing with the now-defunct local instrumental group Ent, McWhirter also played with Hella, the Advantage and Legs On Earth. His solo work released sporadically throughout the last couple of years has also made jaws drop. On Hautahuah's Facebook page, the group calls its music both “mood groove” and “crit rock.” While we know that classification is a bunch of bullshit, the show's music will be anything but.
