Brooklyn-based Gregory Porter has been the talk of nearly every jazz and R&B aficionado for years. After releasing his magnificent Liquid Spirit record in 2013 on Blue Note Records, Porter won the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Vocal Jazz Album without much surprise. Porter knows how to phrase and deliver some of the most thought-provoking pieces and should be both seen and heard to understand the depth of his insightful work.
