Eight Gigs: Frank Sinatra Tribute
Sun., Dec. 6, 6 p.m., Harlow’s Restaurant & Nightclub, $10-$15
Let's go back to the 1950s, when the radio was important, “Come Fly With Me” was on the air and Frank Sinatra was king. Or the 1960s. Or the 1970s. Or, to some extent, the 1980s. Even after his death, Sinatra remains king of the era, a legend. Celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday with a crew of local artists who will be covering his work all night. Expect to hear the classics as well as some surprising choices deep in his catalogue. Peter Petty will host the show, whose diverse, not-jazz lineup includes David Houston, Exquisite Corps, the FreeBadge Serenaders, Jacob Golden and Hans Eberbach. 2708 J Street, www.facebook.com/
