Eight Gigs: Ducktails

Originally the droney solo project of Real Estate's guitarist Matt Mondanile, Ducktails has grown into an impressive indie force. The New Jersey four-piece's fifth record, St. Catherine, dropped last month, and it's a great collection of warm, catchy, baroque pop songs. This means sweeping strings, slightly experimental electronic elements and psychedelic fuzz—jangle pop for quiet afternoons on a rope swing, contemplating lost connections.
