Eight Gigs: Dowsing

When Dowsing put out its album Okay earlier this year, fans speculated that it had outgrown its emo roots. Some want to upgrade Dowsing’s music genre with a hyphen, like emo-indie, or emo-punk, while others say just a plain ol’ indie rebranding suffices. Either way, the band has put together a solid, guitar-driven collection of songs that also have some deep, emotive lyrics. Check out the group’s prior 2013 effort, I Don’t Even Care Anymore, a much slower, sulking affair.
