The members of Deep State must be a bunch of fools. After all, it’s the refrain on the foolishly titled “Tittyboyz,” off the group’s 2015 debut Nice. One decidedly not-foolish decision: signing with Sacramento’s indie label Friendship Fever and thus getting to visit California from its hometown of Athens, Georgia, probably semiregularly. Get ready for driving guitars, punk-pop melodies and relatable lyrics, and look forward to Deep State’s next record, Thought Garden, which drops in April.
