Eight Gigs: Dandelion Massacre
Sat., April 30, 7 p.m., The Red Museum, $5-10
On Dandelion Massacre’s website, the members describe themselves as a “sloppy American band.” And the titles of its releases on Bandcamp are just as self-depreciating: Sorry We Haven’t Released Anything In 2013 Yet, We’ve Been Lazy. So We Put This Piece Of Shit E.P. Together and another “sorry” e.p. That tells you everything you need to know about this band—that, and the fact that it’s a sort of old-timey folk trio (guitar, banjo, bass) with lots of depressing singalongs, crust-punk vocals and just a hint of country in the songwriting. A sloppy American band, sure, but infectious all the same. 212 15th Street, www.dandelionmassacre.com.
