Eight Gigs: Cecile McLorin Salvant

Grammy award-winning jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant is reviving the rich and theatrical elements of the timeless genre at 27 years old. In fact, her voice retreats to older and familiar forms with a warmth that’s influenced by legendary singer-songwriters like Bessie Smith and Ella Fitzgerald.
