Eight Gigs: Cameron Calloway

This will be Las Vegas soul singer Cameron Calloway’s first solo set in Sacramento. But locals might have already caught him last summer as one half of hip-hop/soul group Camra—the other half being expat rapper Rasar. Now, folks can catch an entire set of Calloway’s heartfelt, sunny soul tunes. He brings a Motown vibe to his music: feel-good pop with straight-from-his-heart passion. He has a strong voice that draws from classic singers like Curtis Mayfield and Al Green, but also a little CeeLo Green in the mix.
