Eight Gigs: Bright Faces

Bright Faces' 2011 album, American Bull, is a fusion of alt-country and catchy power-pop tunes. But the album's title track stays true to the band's roots: twangy guitars, steady percussion and bass lines reminiscent of the Tennessee Three. Songs like “All or Nothing,” feature a pop-oriented direction: upbeat guitar work and vocal harmonies. Bright Faces' lineup boasts members of bands like Hypnotic IV, the Mr. T Experience and the Veronicas, so a few feel-good pop songs aren't surprising.
