Eight Gigs: Babe

In the last year-and-a-half that Babe has been a band, there hasn't been enough of its music out there to really bemoan the fact the members left Sacto for Los Angeles. “Baby You're Right,” the latest of three songs released so far, dropped in August and word on the street is that they're still working on an EP. And yet the whole package is so seamlessly indie-pop-rock, from the Two Door Cinema Club sound to the we're-just-four-dudes-with-nice-hair vibe, that it probably won't be long before you're echoing that I-knew-Cake-when-they-were-playing-living-rooms bit when someone brings Babe up in the years to come. 2708 J Street, www.babetheband.com.
