In 2009, local singer Allyson Seconds released her first solo record, Bag of Kittens, written and produced by Sacramento expat Anton Barbeau. Now, they’re back with the groovy, pop-folk Little World. The album radiates positive energy, hitting environmental themes in between fuzzy, psychedelic guitar solos. Historically, Seconds was one to harmonize with others, such as her husband Kevin Seconds of hardcore band 7 Seconds, versus taking the mic solo. Little World cements her role at the front of the stage. Kevin and Barbeau will both be at Shine to celebrate her album release. 1400 E Street, www.facebook.com/allyson.seconds.
