Opening up for none other than the Reverend Al Green in 2012, self-described “hippie with soul” Allen Stone played 600 shows over two years. Comparisons to his idol Stevie Wonder are not remiss, though I’d venture to say the frenetic nature of his music is more akin to Jamiroquai, with contemporary touches of artists like Aloe Blacc and Mayer Hawthorne.
