Eight Gigs: 50-Watt Heavy

50-Watt Heavy’s first gig was six years ago during the annual Dead Rock Stars Halloween Show at Old Ironsides. Since then, the laid-back rock group wrote and recorded its self-titled EP and continues to perform in just about every venue throughout Sacramento. With influences like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Wilco and the Replacements, 50-Watt Heavy performs upbeat, hard-hitting music that incorporates moments of alt-country and rock ’n’ roll.
